London. On the occasion of Nepali New Year 2079, Pokhareli Manch UK and Basingstoke Nepalese Society are jointly organising an event Peelal-Nepal-Run-UK. The event is planned to take place on Sunday the 17th of April 2022 at War Memorial Park at Basingstoke.
“The event is aimed to raise awareness of the importance of health and well being and encourage people to get healthier through running activities in our community”, Nepal Run UK website states.
The Nepal Run event, which is being sponsored by Peepal Mortgage, will be 5 kilometres for adults and 2 kilometres for children. Any money raised through the run event will be used to help promote similar health and well-being culture in Nepal.
Interested individuals to partake in the event have to register their interest online with a fee of £15 for adults and £7 for 13-years and under.
The charity amount raised through the program will go to the Pokhara International Marathon and Dharan-Run that happen annually in Pokhara and Dharan, as well as to a charity called Dom Cafe in the UK, with the aim of promoting physical fitness and healthy living.
