Nepali Film Artists Association (FAN) UK’s Chairperson Romiyan Limbu has expressed her hope that Nepali filmmakers in the UK are desperately waiting to see the current national lockdown to be ceased sooner rather than later.
Speaking with Nepal Mamila, Chairperson Limbu confirmed that FAN UK is preparing to make a comeback with some surprise packages as soon as the third lockdown in the UK comes to an end.
She said that despite the adversities caused by the coronavirus pandemic, FAN UK executed a number of activities last year. To list a few, she informed that her association provided financial aid of Rs.1,05,738 to film workers in Nepal affected by the pandemic. The association also contributed Rs. 50,000 towards the construction of a film hall in Nepal.
The association has celebrated its first anniversary virtually this year amid the pandemic.
