DILMAYA FOUNDATION TO HOST CHARITY MUSICAL EVENT IN HONG KONG

Hong Kong – The Dilmaya Memorial Foundation is set to host a charity musical event on April 20, 2025, in celebration of the Easter holiday and the Nepali New Year 2082. Founder Khusi Limbu announced the event during an information session held at Chumlung Him in Jordan on Thursday.

During the session, Limbu reflected on the foundation’s establishment in 2016, made possible by an endowment of 500,000 Nepali Rupees in memory of his mother, Dilmaya Limbu.

The musical evening will take place at Blue Ocean Restaurant on Shanghai Street, featuring performances by talented Nepalese artists from both Nepal and Hong Kong. The event will be hosted by media personality Bhumika Phiyak, with special appearances by renowned musician/vocalist Badal Limbu, along with popular singers Sunita Thegim and Dipa Suhang.

In addition to these artists, several Nepali talents from Hong Kong, including Khusi Limbu, Kusum Kambang, Shaktim Yongya, and Susan Limbu, will also perform, showcasing a diverse range of musical talents.

Funds raised from the event will be used to establish a permanent endowment to support education, health, and community development initiatives in rural Nepal. Founder Limbu emphasized that the foundation has previously contributed to social projects in rural areas of Nepal.

Notable past projects include the reconstruction of the Sirise School building in Yangwarak Rural Municipality-5, Panchthar, in collaboration with NRNA UK, at a cost of 3.5 million Nepali Rupees. The foundation has also provided computers and educational materials to Barah Kalika Higher Secondary School in Dhading, benefiting 431 students.

During the session, Mausam Limbu, the event coordinator, stated that the primary mission of the Dilmaya Foundation is to empower communities in rural Nepal through improved access to education and healthcare. The charity show aims to further this goal by generating funds for community welfare.

Tickets for the event will be available in three categories: VVIP, VIP, and General Admission, priced at HKD 1,000, HKD 500, and HKD 300, respectively. The VVIP ticket also includes a lifetime membership to the foundation.
